Not likely. TomTom only works with external bluetooth GPS receivers.

You should also check Garmin Mobile XT. In my case Garmin has much more up to date maps than TomTom for Istanbul.

I already have a bluetooth GPS receiver and Garmin means buying another one so doesn't work for me..

I have one of Garmin's fishfinders and they are really nice..

You don't need to buy another GPS receiver. Garmin Mobile XT works with all bluetooth receivers when unlocked.

Garmin works quite good on my P990, however, if you are going to be using it for an extended period:
1- You definitely need to have the P990 connected to a power source. The screen uses a lot of battery power and after a few hours it may run flat.
2- It's a good idea to restart the P990 before starting Garmin, it will clear much needed RAM for you.

One more point, if you are sending/receiving waypoints to other Garmin users, the messaging application is invoked (SMS). Having SMP running will get back the RAM when you are done with the messaging application.

Version 4.10.80 is out and seems to perform good.
