I just hate that guitar song they have in the background. Like the Nokia Moby one was great, infact im sad they dont use that any more but the iphone one has me to the point where I switch over whenever I see it on.

That Moby tune has caused to me to want to purchase a gun and a liscence to find out who's idea it was to use that song lol.

We, like many of the newer O2 stores, have a Nokia 'bay' which is installed on the wall to divide up the pay monthly and pay as you go walls (i'll have to get a pic some time) and it's got a screen in the middle with 5 N-series phone around the edge on little shelves, and when you pick one up, it plays a little video about it. Problem is, until you do, it plays a non-stop looping video demonstrating all about the N-series and it plays that song over and over and over and over and OVER!

It's enough to drive a perfectly sane person crazy! lol

The commercials annoy me because they hype and talk about commonplace standard features I've had on my phones for years like they're the greatest thing since pockets on pants.

Exactly.

What really annoys me about the whole Apple PR thing in regards to the iPhone is the wording they use.

We've been told a thousand times we have to say "Revolutionary Mobile Phone" "Breakthrough Internet Device" and "Amazing iPod" in every conversation we have with customers about the iPhone.

Now me, I took this as complete bullshit and ignored it. Why? Because none of those three statements is correct in any sense.

You know whats more annoying? My deputy manager, the only reason she's 'good' for sales is because she's like a parrot. She repeats everything she's told word for word without actually absorbing what it means. So during staff meetings when the manager asks what the 3 key features of the iPhone are she literally repeats those three things, word for word, as if she's reading them off a packet. I kid you not, with that exact enphasis on the words and everything.

Then the kick, I asked her what those three things mean, ie explain to a customer why it's a revolutionary mobile phone etc, and she couldn't tell me and said things like "it's a revolutionary mobile phone because it has breakthrough internet and it's an amazing ipod". She doesn't even know how an iPod works! Grr.....

say enjoy facebook when you arnt at your computer but they fail to say unless your in a WIFI zone it will slow as hell.

It seems fine on my P990 over 3G... what bugs me about the iPhone adverts is that it's all bollocks.
I've been able to do *all that stuff and more* on my P-series for *years*.

I dont mind them as much and looking at it from a non-tech point of view. I can see how people get all hyped up.

I dont mind the background song. I do hate the Moby track. So annoying.

Alas i purchased the n95 colleagues and coworkers couldnt understand why i didnt want the iphone. The interface is the only revolutionary aspect imo. Maybe v2 could be better. But even then. Something as simple as no mass storage is a deal breaker. I refuse to use itunes.
