Haven't tried. I've no interest doing it directly, but if it opens the doors for greater things, then I'm happy.

This is really great news. I will be sure to watch out for ports of useful software.
And by the way, for people who are a bit paranoid about opening there devices (to potential malware), I assume it would be just as easy to close the access again after you are done 'modding' the phone.
Anyway, I haven't tried this yet, but this is something that will have a huge impact on customization! I am all for it!

Great. I guess this means it's finally possible to add a few shortcuts to opera, and fix the zoom- interval to something useful

.
Anyone want to experiment with the wlan- settings?

Does this also mean we can mod the camdriver and acoustics of UIQ 3? seems great if it does!

It would be extremely difficult to do much about the data that isn't externalised in some resource- files... But replacing modules, at least.

Be warned !
This messes your phone permanently.
This morning I browsed the folders of c:\private and z:\private. using X-plore.
Nothing else, I didn't modify or delete anything..
After a while I tried to start X-plore again but it didn't work.
"Application could not be started" is what I got.
Then I tried to start otherr apps, butI got the same error for all of my user-installed apps and games.
Only built-in apps worked.
Of course I did a master reset and format afterwards which were [or better seemed to be] completed with success.
But here it comes:
When I try to install my apps , I get the prompt that some files are already present, and this happens with all apps.
So better think twice before doing it as this hack seems to be in a beta stage for now..
P.S. All my appps were previously installed on c and I experienced this while trying to install them again on c:.
Mem stick is not involved.
