ahhh now I get ya... I think...
Having never had to send anything away to SE before, will it just be a case of emailing them and telling them the problem? And will there be any problem about me having brought it off ebay?
(Yea I'm a bit stupid at times

)

i think you have to ring up SE (haven't got the number to hand) and they will give you details on where to send it to be repaired.
it took them about 2weeks to change the joystick on my old k700.

poisongirl, you're lucky you're in the UK.... if you were in the US, even though you buy the phone from a cellphone store/shop, SE service center USA will tell you that they need to "check" your phone because (here's a direct quote) "it's not meant to be released in the US, you have to fax us your proof of purchase, and the bar code on the side of the box that contains the IMEI and serial number of the phone" ....huh.... totally not friendly and shows a huge amount of unwillingness to help...

I'm not sure if this is in the right place... But anyhoo....
I've had my k850 since just before christmas, and its worked fine up until last night.
Last night after sending a text it just decided to have a spaz, its like there is someone pressing the middle "menu/selection" key all the time, so its sending like a bazillion texts to my first contact. I can't even press any other buttons because the "menu" button is getting pressed so much. Its virtually impossible to lock the key pad, but when it does work, its still like someone's pressing a button.
I've tried taking the battery out, and leaving it out all night to see if that would help, and it didn't, so I just wondered if anyone else knew of this happening or had a suggestion on what to do...
Exactly the same thing has happened to my phone. I rang O2 this morning to get it swapped but they don't have any stock so I've got to ring them again tomorrow.

I'm going to take mine to the O2 store today to get it swapped. They won't do a door step swap out, my mate has got exactly the same problem though, so he also rang O2 yesterday and they'll do a door step swap out for him, even though he's had his phone longer than me but I've been with O2 for longer (don't get me started, I spent 2 hours on the phone arguing with them about it yesterday) so I've got to mess about sending my phone off before they'll send me a replacement.
