the first upgrade from T68m to T68i firmware will erase your phonebook, ringtones, pictures etc... but upgrades after that will not erase anything.

no... you don't loose anything... to know what differences there are, use the search here on Esato since there are threads about the different versions

I know... there have been some R4 versions for T68i as well... but these have only existed for very few language versions, the versions in the list has been available for most languageversions.
