P1

Supports 8gb
Price Lesser Then W960 Few hundered dollars(atleast here)(and if u dont want so much mem)
Option of typing sms faster with full qwerty hardware keyboard.compared to w960.
Little laginess compared to w960i, Due to 8gb hard rive of w960i lags more.
Desktop Stand In package in P1i(not a big deal)
More refined look, compared to w960 which looks little plastic. And has probability of creakiness occurring.
back button(if ur used to one)

U should consider if u need
Walkman headphones hpm 70 with w960(i suggest u get better heaphones with P1 either a HPM 82 or Hbh ds980) which has more functionality. And can control music without taking device from ur pocket. With ds980 u can dial numbers of ur phone book without taking phone from ur pocket.
Visualisation(not a big deal though) P1i can be flashed to w960 as well.
Dedicated Forward next button
w960s Flush screen making it easy to get to battery and small things on corner of the screen[without need of styles]

Picture quality is about the same with both

So its all up to u to consider which u want, as of me i suggest P1i

Well, the W960i has flash memory, not a HD. And the P1 doesn't have your standard qwerty keyboard, there are two letters on each key which seems kind of awkward. But yes the P1 does have a more refined look and costs less. They both have pretty good cameras (for smart phones) and they can both have 8GB of memory... not a very big difference if you ask me.

It really depends on what kind of person you are IMO. I would never consider the P1 because of its bulky business looks.

actually, i had a p1 before when it was first released, but it felt like its so 'boring' what's why i got a k850. now, after reading throught Symbian Phone thread and seeing improvements on the P1, it's becoming more appealing to me. im torn now between the P1 or the SE G900.. W960 is out of the question cause i read a lot of bad reviews about its TS being slow..

oh, that's nice.. is it hard to install Walkman 2.0 on the p1? where did you get the files for the walkman player??? and is it the same walkman player as on the W960?

You need to do 'the Hack' as described here... http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=27191 (links to files are provided)
and then install the files that are available for Walkman v2.0 from here... http://www.ipmart-forum.com/showthread.php?t=240673&page=47 There is a readme.txt inside explaining where to put the files - Not too tricky
These files are currently from W950, but I'm sure that the W960 ones will get here shortly

nice.. anyways, what other modifications are there for P1??

btw, i read a review for G900 and i think the unit is promising.. should i wait for its release, or should i get a P1?? coz, tbh, i dont need the 5MP cam that SE G900 is offering cause i already have my k850.. well, come to think of it, i think i already answered my question.. but still, id like to hear your opinions.

cheers!

A big bonus for P1i now is that it can be had so cheap - my mate bought one on fleabay with TomTom Nav 6 and GPS unit for £135 last week

Loads of mods now available try ipmart forum and some nice software to buy - 8GB mem stick only ~ £37 last time I checked - can't go wrong
