i have tried sending sms thru gprs (Globe Telecoms Philippines)...
two things:
-it sends way way faster than using gsm.
-i'm not really sure if the local network utilizes gprs while i did that...

I have Telia too.

SMS is always the same price AFAIK.

I use it for email and ICQ over WAP and some other things and use about 5MB/month.

@higher and legally- just to clarify, i think it's free for the phils because globe aint chargng yet 4 wap ovr gprs. But 4 other countries, they get billed 4 downloads regardless of site. Correct me if im wrong. This post was posted from a T68i

just got my latest bill. i have downloaded a lot from esato and other wap sites through my t68i and still there are no charges. total kb downloaded is reflected in the bill.

There is no cost for viewing WAP pages on most sites, right? Only on paysites, just like on the WWW. What you pay for is the access to the net (GSM charges for time connected, GPRS charges for use of bandwidth)...

Or?
