This makes no sense. What will clams be called if not Z? Aren't all SE phones fun? Doesn't S equal Swivel/Slider? Snapshot isn't a good fit for the S500.
Hi, I'm quite new xD.
I think they decided to name the phones no more by form factor like in the past but by "features". So for example a phone like Z780i could be in the G-Series in the future. The new S-Series is different from the old S-Series that was Swivel/Slider (like the S500i).
When they will complete this transition moment when it's a bit messy i think it will be more simple than before for people to distinguish the phones.

@TeknoBoi90, Welcome to Esato!
I don't like that these phones are classed by feature soon. I'm worried that

's segmentation for markets will further be tightened. My case? The W960 & upcoming W980 are Beautiful phones! However, non of in North/South America can fully enjoy them because the 3G chipsets are limited to 2100Mhz only; and only the W960 has WiFi. There is no way that the z780 will encroach upon a W980i's sales in North America ... they are too distinct in their own right; would be nice for SE to start putting AF into their clamshells - its long overdue. Furthermore I'd LOVE a clamshell to have WiFi as well from

, there are only 3 models by Nokia that have WiFi in their clamshells (N93, N92 - butt ugly, cannot recall the others but there is another thats S40 class).

@mige
have you not been in the forums recently??
the bravia and psp phone discussions are here for some time now...
even the SE's japanes handsets have bravia branded displays.
it is just a matter of effort to make it available outside of japan.

SE continues the K and J series with New K330 and J132,
that means Z and M series have chances to appear again...
if so SE now has 13 series... OMG!!
C / F / G / J / K / M / P / R / S / T / W / Z and Xperia
I really hope to ask is it necessary to have so many series?
How About BRAVIA? HANDCAM? PSP? VAIO?

After T630 the T-series was canceled, but now it appear again.
K-series canceled => no K900...
And why Z-series will be canceled? Where will be the future flip phones?
P-series - it was from PDA.
