in Japan is different from the European

- they've simply split it up, so you can't have an European

phone with Japanese language.

you could with the Sony Ericsson V800. It could be flashed so it became a 802se but I know it was sold as 802se Japan by Vodafone, JP.

European Sharp phones, i.e. 902, 903 have Japanese fonts so emails can be seen but no easy input.
