Not if you compare with the world record, which is 182,689 messages in a month, which corresponds to 6100 SMS per day. But for most normal human beings however, I believe even 600 per day is much (15 sek on avarage per SMS would correspond to 2.5h of SMSing).

But keep in mind that the_river said 100-600 a day so it probably happens that today he 'only' send 100 messages. Instead of 600.
Anyway.. about the joystick. I don't really like the K810's joystick as well. I think it's not good as K800's. Well, K800's joystick is not that good either but at least I feel it's better.

i agree. the joystick seems to have a mind of it's own. i own a k800i though. i learned to live with the joystick thing. i send around 100 to 200+ messages a day. at times when i am on a long trip on a bus, i can maybe send as much as 600 sms, but that doesn't happen that often.

Well, I've had my K810 for about a year now and it has been a fantastic phone!
The joystick's fine. (although right-press is starting to fail a bit but no biggie)

Never had a problem with an SE joystick myself but never realy had one for more than about 6 months so not a surprise really.
I dont know if SE have decided to actually listen to their users because they appear to have stopped adding joysticks to their new ranges now.

Well my joystick gave me probs after 4 months use, then I got it replaced under warranty and for 6 months now Ive had no probs at all, working like a charm!

OK when we are talking about heavy usage of the phone... Here is what do I do with mine K800(810):
- Minimum 4-5 hours of music (on headphones)... I don't use playlists so i browse the songs with the joystick manually...
- while listening to music I always play some java game (on the joystick of coourse... hate numeric keys)...
- write about 10-30 sms a day
- 1-3 hours browsing before I go to bed...
So my K800 is doing well after 1 year of heavy use...
