Still the crappy 2 MP (no autofocus, no flash) camera

Still no MMS support

The Crappy Bluetooth doesn't supports File transfer, A2DP etc

and the list goes on and on.

Only thinks that i like on an iPhone is its Flashy UI and the Great Music Player.

peace!!!!!

The thing I like about Apple is that when they announce a product they release it within weeks.

No offense but could you please tell us the time between the announcement and the release date of 1st gen iphone?

In America the iPhone was announced sometime in June 2007 for the American market and was released in July 2007.

Yeah, but the official apple announcement that created massive hype on iphone happened on January 9, 2007. and it has been a big hype for almost 5-6 months before it was officially announced in United States and released later? So it seems like apple is trying not to act SEish with the interval but given the fact that the company itself had shown to public the phone since january last year proves that it is not much different with other companies

I stand corrected. I think the original iPhone must be the only Apple product I remember that has done that.

Buy yourself a Camcorder, how many people seriously shoot home movies on their phones?

Serious question.

Who shoots home movies?
You shoot videos with your phone, dude.
You know, there are some moments in life which you'd like to have in motion. Frankly, I use my K810's video recording feature (although crappy) quite a lot.

And what do you do with the videos, this is a serious question, I can honestly say that I have never used the video record on any phone I have ever owned, just intrigued as to what people use it for.

By the way by home movies I basically meant, filming days out with your family, Christmas, birthdays, holidays etc

my son uses it ALOT on his N95 8gb for recording him and his mates doing parcours. (I cringe when I watch them back 'coz I'm sure he's gonna do himself some harm!)

I guess this discussion is more about the effect that the iphone 3g will have on other devices and for me, it won't stop me getting the X1 or touch pro. I've always had windows mobile devices as they do my business stuff very well.

I doubt there will be many people waiting for X1 etc who will be changing their mind. Indeed many will be like me and get both

I've had my P1 for 8 months now and the new iPhone is not even tempting me. I am still waiting for the P1 real successor, if not the X series will be for me , bo definitely not the crappy thingy from Apple.

I think some people will change their opinion on somethings when the AppStore is launched, anyone seen the screenshots of Super Monkey Ball, looks awesome. And also we don't fully know what features Firmware 2.0 will bring either, for all we know the bluetooth finctionality may have changed, there might be copy and paste, a video recording app etc etc, as the iPhone runs OS X the possibilities are endless.

Each to their own is what I say.

Nope. Most of the peoplewud get iphone just for the 'i' in it. N then sell it off as soon as the excitement is over.
I dont think iphone would actually satisfy most....ofcourse the ui s great. But that gets old when u have it.
