So you play VGA resolution movies on your phone, which takes up so much more space than converted ones (with reduced resolution)?
I wouldn't want to download such movies with my GPRS connection. Would take forever, and be quite expensive. I fail to see how that makes the phone better.

ANYWAY... you're making the thread about something thread-starter hasn't asked about. He's asked about music and camera, and he only asked about two specific models.

Who said anything about VGA? Anyway ive got quite a bit of episodes from the previous season of South Park in avi on my phone. Im not sure what resolution but they are at 25FPS with a bit rate of around 1500kbps and they are each around 40-55mb, so NO they are not that big at all. Thats your choice to download Movies via GPRS , im talking about Music, and Music Videos in Symella, so its a lot more convinient for a user to download them, i doubt that will be expensive.
Fair enough, i suggest taking N73-ME over K770.

Well, would still take forever to download via gprs, and would be expensive, at least where I come from where price is about 7 euro pr. mb. I do think most people prefer to copy the music and videos instead.
And you can download mp4 videos just as easy as other formats, especially considering the number of mp4 players you can buy.
And if you want to copy a DVD to your phone, you'll need to convert it regardless. So I don't see any advantage at all.

Just because the bus can carry more people doesn't make it better than a car.

The question here is, the N73 has that option as well. The K770 does not. As for usage, it is true that it depends on where you live. I have free GPRS! And as I travel a lot, the online downloading option is sweet, I do not mind the time it takes as I have no other option. Another perspective.

On another note, it is OK comparing the K770 with the N73 keeping in mind the image quality..but when it comes to the kind of application you wish to use for, the choices may vary. I would not even consider the K770 because it just does not fit my usage needs. I go for the N73 which can do most things that the K770 can and MORE.

If these features are not required for the end user, the K770 is perfect!

There are many great data contracts as far as i know in most networks. im curious on why download via GPRS when theres 3G? Symella is fantastic. Yes most people prefer to copy the music and videos but for those who don't have it IN THE 1ST PLACE will find apps like this very convinient, especialy with Wi-Fi and 3G/HSDPA enabled phones.
No doubt you will need to convert a DVD, but not everyone gets their movies and videos from DVDs, my friends give me movies that are high quality that are already converted for iPod or PSP or are in avi and divx. A k770 cant handle most of them yet an N73 can, and my N81 definetly can. Funny you talk about a bus and a car when this realy is realy more like comparing a little Fiat Palio (K770) to a BMW 5series (N73).

just that the BMW breaks down more often than not....the N73 is one damn tortoise..it hangs,it reboots and what nbot..the screen is pathtic and it looks cheap..cant multitask..its impossible to have two applications open at the same time...

The K770 has a much better design than the N73 and the K800/K810. Moreover, it has a normal d-pad.

Anyways, I really think you should go for the K770. That is just my opinion.
