Whops, when i converted my mp3 files to AAC or eAAC+ my album art tag is disappearing. Shot! i think ill stick to mp3 yet!

well i converted some tracks with dBpoweramp Music Converter ( + plugins that allowed to convert to m4a). I tried the 3 options of bit rate ( VBR, CBR, ABR) but i dont know which one is the best. I used VBR and ABR at different bit rates but im not sure how to get the best result.
However, i tried different combinations and when i play them in the loudspeaker it doesnt sound good. Furthermore, there is a strange sound in the background, when you stop the music this noise continues until you exit walkman player :S . Has someone had this problems before?
The sound quality wasn´t very good ( i hope its me with my bad configuration ). I need some help here
