do you get IP and DNS automatically? have you set the default gateway correctly? (should be the IP of your hub)

Yeah, i have an IP address of the hub and have never gone in to change anything relating to the hub - what is the default gateway?

Oh here is where it gets complicated, you need to setup a static IP for your p1, and work out what your ISP DNS server addresses are.

The Default Gateway option should be set to the IP address of the Hub.

Once you've manually supplied a static IP on the Hub and the P1 you then want to fill in the default gateway and DNS server addresses. You should be able to find the DNS server addresses in the Hub config page somewhere, otherwise a quick call to tech support should get them.

With all that setup THEN try a connection.

Also, if you try to connect to your hub direct with your phone you should at least be prompted for a username and password to log in, in which case you know you are connecting to your hub ok
