I don't know if you can get one over where you are, but the Vodafone 810 wouldn't be a bad choice. Made by Huwawei (the people who make the Voda, 3 etc. data modems).
Nice sturdy construction, slider form factor, good screen size, 2mpx camera, 3G/UMTS, Micro SD slot (could be Mini - I forget).
It's not a bad phone for
£50
