yeah, install w/th virtualbox, you can use the linux disk, just follow the instructions on the virtualbox program


what linux distro you using, i thaught you were talking about ubuntu (too much time spent helping people on UF)

this way, ubuntu can be removed with the click (or 2 clicks to be exact) of a mouse


insert disk while running vista








then once its done, restart your computer, there will now be an option to boot up into ubuntu (vista will be default os)


boot into ubuntu and it will do a check for F---ups and you have a shiny ubuntu desktop

@paul just installed ubuntu via wubi and gave it a 10GB space.
It looks kewl
What basic applications, codecs i need to install?
A freeware link would be good too...

you dont need to go searching for codecs


open the terminal, and copy and paste this:


Code:sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras


(rigtht click and select "paste")
