viewty is better than K850i. the only thing thats worse is the media player, but overall viewty is way uber k850i. Nice job. Let's not talk about design and video recording capabilies.. pfff SE...

Yeah... sure...
Viewty users don't say the same; I visited some LG forums and everyone isn't happy about pic quality (not to mention the much more purple fringe than K850). Also, most "auto" settings don't work well, and you always have to set parameters each time you use the camera.
Yes, it does much better in video recording, but that's all.

Actually I don't if the change is worth... But if the new device you got suits your needs, it is good move... You are the one who knows if it is good for you or not.

As a viewty user, I can say that it's not all its made out to be. The interface isnt that smooth, themes are a pain to install (much like samsung, there are only a few to choose from until you hack the phone). The Camera isn't all that amazing, theres a fault with SMS being that when you receive a message that is more than 1 message long, you can wait hours if not days to receive the other half. Theres absoloutly zero support, and no firmware updates and it desperatly needs them.
Its a nice phone, but it takes a while to like and has loads of little faults.

i agree. the viewty is a great phone, but the camera is so incredibly temperamental. i'm considering taking a BSc in Viewty Studies so that i can consistently get good results from the camera instead of the hit and miss affair it is now.

while the viewty does have lots of little shortcomings, there are mostly insignificant. the k850, on the other hand, is one big fault as most people have found out to their detriment.

That just shows that some se fans finally have the balls to try somthing different, maby somthing even better.

I don't think it's the ego everytime, i think since so many peeps on this forum are so loyal and acoustom to only seeking and buying within se that when they finally find somthing new that they like, they get excited and have the erge to tell someone. I use to do that alot as a child when learning somthing new like in football.

Just remember though that the k850i is the worst handset SE have released, nothing else has ever been as bad as these. Most K850i seem to share the problem of somehow breaking and becoming faulty within the first 12 Months. They really should have been discontinued, recalled and replaced with C902's
