Asalam o alaikum warah matullah wabarakatuhu
Jazak Allah to all the brothers (Muslim and non-Muslim) coming over here. We, as a muslim, have a responsibility to spread the true message of Islam and clear all the mis-conceptions that we have. Please feel free to contribute to this thread by asking questions or posting relevant information. All the brothers over here will try their best to answer the question in the most authentic way.
JazakAllah khair Abusamad for those nice clips. Indeed brother zakir naik has done an excellent job in utilizing the modern media and spreading Islam.
Here is a nasheed regarding the rights of wife in islam. Although the nasheed is in arabic, there are some very nice Quranic verses and hadeeth posted here regarding the subject. Also if you click the "more info" located on the right hand side, you will find an english translation of the nasheed.

And also , it is now official (31st August 2008) that 1st September is the first day of Ramadan. Let us all take full advantage of this blessed month and get our sins forgiven. ameen sum ameen
Wasalam o alaikum warahma tullah wabarakatuhu

Asalam o alaikum warah matullah wabara katuhu
Just came back from taraweeh and it felt so good alhamdolillah
couple of websites that i want to share with you guys
1)
GuidedWays
I am sure many of you would have heard of it. For those who havent, it is a very good Islamic website with many diverse Islamic materials. e.g.
* for people living in UK, US and dubai, you can watch peacetv on it. Live
* there are many full hadeth books here in english
* you can find many Islamic softwares for PC and mobile.
* translations and recitation of the Holy Quran
http://www.guidedways.com/index.php
2)
Abdur Rehman's authentic Islamic sources
Alhamdolillah we as muslims are in constant strive of learning our religion and living our life according to Quran and Sunnah of Prophet (PBUH). Alhamdolillah this next website contains tons of materials (articles, books) on different topic. So if any one of the brother or sister needs to find an answer to a solution or to just read some articles, I am sure they can do so from this website
http://www.abdurrahman.org/
I am currently searching for a website on which live taraweeh is broadcasted from Makkah and/or Madinah. Since taraweeh over there has ended right now therefore all of the links are off. But inshAllah tomorrow I will find it and post the link. This is to help our brothers who are not living in Makkah or Madinah to feel the atmosphere of those two Holy Places in this month. Alhamdolillah Allah has given me numerous opportunities to visit both Makkah and Madinah and for that I am very very very very very thankful to Allah. May Allah constantly keep on giving me and other brothers an opportunity to visit these two cities ameen sum ameen
Wasalam o alaikum warah matullah wabarakatuhu

Salam alaikum brothers and sisters...
Got my dates and milk ready for later!
I found talks by Abdul Hakim Murad (aka Tim Winters) very rewarding, especially for an English revert like myself... Easy to relate to...
