seriously though, the amount of phones they blatantly copy, you'd think atleast nokia would have the resources to sue them
Maybe the big companies know that they are no real threat with their crappy copies, and so just can't be bothered suing them.

No thats not the reason why companies sue. If they are successful imagine the amount of money they will get regardless of whether they were a threat or not.

Sue them where ? In China ? Good luck with that. You put one out of business and the next day 5 more popps up just around the corner. As long as the chinese government just pretend to care, its like hunting ants with a cannon.
