I guess 1000 messages will do if I can't patch cid53 phones for free. My 6680 (which I am currently using until my k800i is repaired) on the other hand can store as much messages that my memory card can accomodate.

Its not 1000 for each.
I tried this, didnt delete my messages on both my inbox and sent items folder for about 5 days. Phone started complaining, says its 95% full, i just ignored it for a while. Then now its mandatory, if I want to receive more messages, I have to delete.
500. Not bad.
