for 1mb you actually get 1048576 bytes.
so it is still possible to use orange GPRS internet with the access pack? i will look into that.
as far as d/l items >3kb, it doesnt seem to work at all using the orange gprs wap profile here, checking the profile it uses the gateway at 192.168.071.035, this is the setting as it was on recieving the phone, is this the same as on yours?
i have been using a different gateway- 194.237.106.73 (using the orange gprs internet data account), but that gateway seems to be down now.
i will be phoning orange (again) tomorrow to check these things out, and probably will be put on hold for 20 minutes and then put thru to some minimum wage muppet who doesnt know the answers (like the last 4 times)
cheers,
Al.

Orange Access Pack is £4 for 10mb. After that It's £7.50 per mb. You can request the Orange Access Pack for ordinary WAP or GPRS WAP browsing.

The Orange Access Pack is for WAP browsing and nothing else, so if you use more than ten mb a month surfing WAP sites then you need to get a life!

@markboyce You cant view or listen to backgrounds(or themes) and ringtones until you have downloaded them,as the t68i cant view them directly from wap(if over 3kb),i would probably use about 20mb's per month(max)so why dont they just give you another 10mb's for another £4 instead of bullshitting ppl about it being unlimited cus some ppl will just take it at that and then say,'why's my bill this much'not knowing about the £7.50 per mb after using their 10 mb's.
And why was'nt i told about these charge's thereafter by Orange, when i spoke to them last night.
Finally,i browse Esato a lot on my phone,do you?
PS. Maybe i should stop reading the pointless dribble that gets posted on here sometimes and stick to reading the serious phone stuff.
Thing is,you dont know,till you've read it

@Aled
Yeah, I'm using the same IP address (192.168.071.035).
Try calling 156 to go straight through to Orange Wirefree Services, if you can, speak to Ros, (I think her name was Ros) she was
very up to speed on all things GPRS.
Hope this helps.

cheers, i got the access pack put onto my account, as i expected the guy i spoke to didnt know anything about the ip address of their server,
i did notice that they never referred to it as unlimeted, they refered to it as £4 for 10mb, and £7.50 out of bundle. guess theyve had complaints about this already
