- perhaps you're right, I don't have HQ earphones - just some SE walkman ones - and I don't play my music very loud either. I usually listen to music on headphones just as background and that does me fine... - or through a casette linkage into my car audio system - or through Pro-quality sound system at church...

Well, I got myself a Sennheiser HD 215, it's huge, but sound quality is great. (Nice ear-warmers too.) Had to modify it a bit to make it connect directly to my HPM-82 jack. These big headsets have much better dynamics than standard SE in-ear headphones. I got it for about 50 euro's from a webstore, a very good price, but some stores ask double.
