@trev.... i also have both as stated above and was just commenting on some plus points i found.... there are also plus points for the 360 like the upcoming dashboard update an the huge catalogue of games it has plus it seems like M$ are ready to throw a lot of money to get some timed exclusives.
I just find the future being a bit more rosy for the ps3 as its got more potential but who knows what M$ will pull out of the hat with the next generation console.

PS3 all the way. Blue-ray alone is a reason to get PS3. Eventually PS3 will end up having better games than Xbox

Just got me thinking, after MikLSP's comment about xbox's games being limited to the size of a DVD (i think dual layer) That eventually the PS3 will have a massive advantage over the xbox in terms of the length of games and the massive storage that blu-ray's offer. What's gonna happen with the next gen xbox console, will they be allowed to build it with a blu-ray drive??
I personally own an Xbox and i really want a PS3. I love my xbox and use it for streaming media as well as a games console, but i do like the fact the PS3 has built-in wifi and at some point i'd like a blu-ray player so it makes sense to get an all-in-one machine. People always say that the PSN online isnt up to much compared to Xbox live, but these people are normally the ones with Xbox's! Comments here make me believe that PSN is just as good. Makes me wonder how M$ can charge so much for a live service that 'could' be free.
I guess what it comes down to is whether you are in to a particular game range, ie your Metal Gear's Gran Turismos, or whether your a Forza or Halo fan. And also a big factor is price. If you just want a high def console just to play games, and arent bothered about particular titles or blu-ray etc, then the Xbox is really a better choice at £130!

This were a baaaad idea for a thread. You just know what it'll turn out like.
And I'm sure memory cards will replace discs of all formats in the next 5-6 years, as manufacturing costs go further and further down and size becomes a bigger and bigger issue in the digital home.

ive had, since its launch, 4 360s. All went tits up..ive had the ps3 since launch...and its working with no problems..so, for reliability, and a machine without a brick power pack, you'd have to go for the ps3. I really like it as a multimedia centre..which reminds me. . Is the matrix trilogy blu ray available yet?
