C702 is better overall. K750 does excellent daylight pics with perfect colour. Also does excellent macros. But there is some grain on K750 unless conditions (ie: lighting) are perfect.
BTW, K750 doesn't have a flash, it only has a led light. However the led is stronger than the K800 flash (goes further) but the K800 xenon is better for the first 2 metres. Not sure about C702.

Of SE's old 2 MP camphones, the one that impresses me the most is the W900. Amazing low light performance. Looking at samples I wouldn't be able to tell right away whether it has a CMOS or CCD sensor.
A couple of good examples from GSMArena's old review are these:
Indoor:
Full size
Outdoor, dusk:
Full size
Scale down the above two samples to 1 MP and these would be pretty close to similar shots from the S700, if not better.
Another interesting example is
this W900 vs Sharp 903 comparison. (The 903 has a 3 MP CCD sensor with optical zoom.)

I see what you mean. And here I thought the W900 used the same camera module as K750 but it can't be. K750 cam module suffered from bad noise in low light.

yea i personally find it pretty interesting that the new cheap camera phone sensors don't compare to the old higher quality ones. i mean it's a bit like how the k750 is apparently a better cameraphone than the newer k550 which was a midrange "cybershot" phone. and i would imagine a phone like say... the SE t303 1.3mpx cam could not match the s700i's 1.3mpx cam

K510's camera comes close to the S700's.

i liked the w900i camera, was going to use it more often and get the MXE-60 flash attachment, but I killed it trying to change the fw. I did find even with the stock drivers, I pefered the w900i camera vs the modded drivers on a w810i, i had.
gonna mess with so905ics soon...

i have the s700,k750,k850+c905.
the s700 still manages better outdoor pics than the k750+k850,havent had much time to test the c905 outdoors.
i stopped using my digital camera when i got my k850 which shows how far phone cameras have come along.

definitely I disagree. K750 camera lost a lot of quality just after CID49 models appeared with revised camera hardware. I have CID36 and CID49 cameras, results from them are extremely (!) different. K750 CID36 was, is and will be great (W800 and W810 too)
EDIT: old times...

Well the old high ends are not the same as the new mid end phones... Anyway, they differ in platform, modules and software a lot even if the interface may look the same on some models. Of the old high ends the K750 was one of the best 2mp phones. And W900 for videos in it's time... I know they lack many features compared to these new models today, but for their time, the high ends were great.

Legend phones as you may say.

if your reference was the GSMArena review then you're wrong. i had both of them before. s700 totally beats k510 indoors. and has better contrast outdoors. k510 has a slight greenish tint.
