It works atleast on K810. IMO, K770 has newer java plateform than of K810.

So i can't understand why this can't be possible on K770??

The only possibility I see is that the guys who answered in the beginning haven't actually tested it on their phones...

Any other K770i who can report on taking a photo while java runs?

It may be dependent on the firmware version too. My K800@K810 R8 can do it too, so I don't see no reason why K770, or other DB2020 phones, can't

Just found out if i use the original cam driver it works! Weird!
Must be to do with the cam driver version and not the java version.

Initially I asked only for answers from K770i users but since others have found interest please always write the model you were testing so as not to confuse the topic! Thanks.

Any other K770i users?

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_Java_Platform
K770i is the same java platform as K810i

I use K770i
Mine can't do it,
i use eBuddy and whenever i try to take a picture for my eBuddy profile in the phone
the camera and the application (eBuddy) shutdown, the phone didn't crash though.
i use a patch that makes java file manager can browse through your fs and this patch are
known to make your java camera application can't save the object captured that's why i 'm thinking maybe it was because of the patch which made the camera and the application shutdown.
I believe K770i can take a picture while java is running, why am i saying this?
Because we have Facewarp application as a default K770i app, it's java and it's camera application.

correect me if i'm wrong mate
