Called em up...they asked for a couple more days...said they were replacing the motherboard and display...

I guess you were right cableguy...lets see if it works out...

Have anyways placed the order for the 5800XM...this will just be my backup phone now...lost faith in SE unfortunately since the UIQ debacle..

Having the same with my G900 since a couple of weeks. Sometimes after some use the screen goes back to normal again. At first it was just anoying but it got worse since a couple of days, and after dropping it (again). The phone gets slower and the screen just stops, goes black and the phone restarts after a while.
Once I dropped the phone, and the front cover got loose near the fastport. I was able to close it, but it clearly shows damage. So I probably can't get it repaired under warranty. Therefore I'm thinking of carefully opening it myself. If a loose connection to the screen is the problem, I guess it could be fixed. At least I can try to wipe away the dust under the screen.
My guess the problem is in the screen connector. It's a touchscreen, so it can also make the phone instable if the connection is bad. Maybe my dust-problem is related to this, but I don't think so.
What bothers me is that I have been dropping all my SE phones (K700,K800,C702), but none of them have dust or screen problems and all still work fine except my G900, the most expensive but less sturdy of them all.

I was having the same problem, screen goes dim. Constant restarting of the phone. I decided to buy a new LCD from ebay and fitted it today.

Now my phone works perfectly again. Would recommend it to anyone suffering from problems like this with their phone.

Hey Phantsm, if you replace your LCD, will it fix it permanately? or will the LCD screw up again later?
