against P1, G900 is slower in some way which`s quite odd, it should nearly be faster. software related ?

When I had my P1, I could say that it has pretty much the same speed as with my G900 now, and with the latest update it's a little bit faster. It's obvious to me especially when I use the handwriting recognition, before the delay was that you can finish jotting down the letter T but soon after the update it was if a second faster in writing it.

The "Dump file created" message is characteristic to prototype phones. Check the IMEI number: if it starts with 00 then its a proto. Such phone may have early hardware problems. In that case your only good option could be to sell it to some other unlucky guy and buy a commercial unit.

Thank you ALL for taking the trouble to Impart your knowledge to me. It was a big help. As texting is my big thing, I will now get a W980. I dont like flip phones, but the keypad, although not looking good, is perfect for texting. I can text with my thumb, rather than my thumb NAIL.

pffh. Write email and use IM instead - and get the m600 (or the p1 if you think you care about the ram, and Opera9 and so on) with the neat keyboard.

I agree that if you text a lot then dump phones are quicker and better designed for that function.
@Zed, you are allowed to be wrong just once
The dump files created on my P1i are kept in one of the "private" directories on C. I just deleted a heap of them the other day!
