@ Londonlad

Simplicity tariffs connect to O2 using the contract settings so there is no limitation on web access unlike the PAYG version And yes you can add a bolt on to any Simplicity tariff for £7.50 per month.

Although if you are paying £10pm for sim and £7.50 for bolt on (Total £17.50) why not get the £20 Simplicity where you get 600 mins and 1000 texts and the bolt on thrown in!

On the £10 tariff you get 150 mins and 300 txts and thats it, on the £20 version you get a choice of 7 bolt ons, so you could get the web one included AND pay extra for any of the others if you wanted to.

Hope that helps

@londonlad - it's the contract version - you can use o2 mobile web

I had a play with O2 PAYG internet access last week - the only things I regularly use that didnt work were streaming (youtube) and pop3 access (to a non-o2 pop3 server). Bizarrely, gmail imap access worked fine.

So streaming works on contract then? Seems unfair that u get streaming, no download restrictions, and presumably no problems loggin into sites? On contract. And not on payngo. Also theres no fair usage on contract and u only get 500mb.on payngo No wonder ive reason to complain!

cheers Sootee, Greggy and Imazz,

To be honest I'm just after a good cheap mobile internet connection for my phone that allows me to access everything I need, including pop3 email. Don't really need the minutes. The £20 simplicity tariff is definately much better value. For now, I'll give payg a try and see how it works out.

How about the iphone 3g payg sim, does that allow pop3 access and streaming youtube?
