The earpiece stopped working for me the other day. I was just trying to find out if others had experienced this problem and found this thread. But just now I remembered that I recently turned "open to answer" and "close to end call" on -- so I've turned them off, and the earpiece has started to work again.

Are sony ericsson gonna give a public message about this? I think they should say something like, if it's true,

"We're working on the problem and it should be able to be fixed in the next update."

..Something along those lines and I think that would help a lot of people....

It's nothing in the hardware.

Mine has packed in twice now. It seems to be through usage the phone lags or something?

I had a new earpiece fitted and I don't think two go wrong in three months.

Just to update you all.... took mine back to 02... they sent it off for repair last week... had a phone call today to say it cant be fixed as of yet so they are giving me a new one (same phone) on tuesday... Im stuck with a crap loan mob that is so basic....

They also said, if it goes on the new phone then they will swap the phone to diff make....

Hopefully it will be solved when I finally recieve new one... lost all my numbers as they were on the phone... thats the only downfall...

Hmmm, I seem to have to hold down the C button when in a call for the earpiece to work (software problem?), I tried adjusting a few options in the Call settings but to no avail.

Hope this 'could' be fixed in the next firmware update.

My C905 has been at the repair centre for over two weeks now.

Sat a week and heard nothing. Phoned and was told 10 days for parts and I am still waiting.

My phone has been away half the time I have owned it.
