You'll need a-gps enabled, in addition to the GRPS/3G working.

@Marty Mcfly: "Complaining because it doesn't work in a house is not evidence of a fault! "---exactly wat i've been saying, it'd be like complaining that your phone can't find reception when put in a box made of lead
@Bryan: Well i never use a-gps i'm happy to wait a minute, no pun intended. But most mapping applications would charge you gprs data fees as well i would assume(well unless you preload the map via wifi earlier

@Aloe: so you said you got 5 sattelites after 5 mintes? Is that how it is everytime?

Today in car, I spent more than 5 minutes trying to get lock onto GPS via:

WayFinder 7
aMazeGPS

but I was unable to get a connection. I switched on my aGPS and still no connection. I am using R1BA042 firmware. And .. sigh Why so bad...

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to ask....does anyones gps work accuratly on google maps application.

Mine works...but not accuratly, like, it locates me, roughly, but its always about 500 meters out. I could never use it to pinpoint exactly where i am for example so would b useless if i was lost.

Does anyone elses do this or does i work perfectly?

Well if its 500 metres out then its doing it by your network signal and it is very vague. It wont use the gps signal until it has a lock on then its within 30metres. It is good and gps works fine with latest da032 firmware
