what firmware verison is this running?

Its running stock TC5-RC8 ( US RC30), but this can be downgraded to RC7 (US RC29) i f you want a "rooted" device over at XDA

are you sure? i had a black RC30. there was no way to downgrade from official RC30. i dont have an X1 for trade but i do have an Omnia 16gb if interested. but what about cash? how much are you looking for?

@zub check out modmygphone.com as i have just downgraded my white g1 from rc8(rc30) to rc7 and back up again to modified rc8 (which allows root acess)... so it can be done...

i dont believe this! i just got rid of a mint black G1 becuase i thought i could not get out of the RC30! why is this not up on the XDA developers website?! i always use that site, it has failed me now greatly
