So, has it been established if this is a HW or SW problem yet? I'm reading conflicting information in different threads.
If pressing the 'c' button brings back the sound to the ear piece then is it not just a SW problem and if this is the case then why are people being advised to wait on spare parts?
All very confusing. :???
From what I gather it is hardware.
If the parts were fitted and still never worked. It could be intervened that the software isn't suitable for the type of ear peice or something.
Certainly it can't be as simple a fault as made out if SE have my phone back.

Personally, I beileave all these problems (earpiece, screen etc.) are caused by a faulty flex cable.

Agreed, either that or the speaker not making proper contact with the contact, thus why pressing the 'c' key or the fascia makes it work. Mine's been fine so far, touchwood!

Manufactured 08w52, got it only a couple of weeks ago from an O2 store when I renewed my contract.
No probs with it but slider seems a bit loose and wobbly but actually works fine. Also the metal finish beloe the cam lens cover/slider seems a bit sharps and sticks out slightly, again causes no problems.

I have been without my C905 for a month now.
It's back at the manufacturer and they said I would get a new one.
is it normal to take this length of time? it's been repaired twice and away half the time I have owned it.

Your case is rare. I guess they have being trying so many ways to repair the phone before giving you a new one. Its a good fact that they're trying and are they keeping you up to date with what they're doing?
