Or if you don't want to fiddle around with the registry use Piriform CCleaner (can be downloaded from Filehippo for free) It will clean invalid links and software leftovers for your. I use it all the time and even our IT guy uses it.
I would delete the downloaded SE suite and redownload it again before installing.
i try to uninstall it but i get a error message ' setup.exe' not working. what shall i do?

Create a system restore check point.
Delete C:\\Program Files\\Sony Ericsson\\PC Suite
Delete C:\\Program Files\\InstallShield Installation Information\\ (in each folder, see the setup.ini and find the one belonging to PC Suite. if any, delete the folder)
Open registry and delete
HKCU\\Software\\Sony Ericsson\\ (anything that has something to do with PC Suite)
By using CCleaner, delete Sony Ericsson PC Suite Uninstaller.
All, or almost all files and registries have been deleted now.

i did that, but im afraid i will get the same problem again mentioned in first post when i do a fresh install of se pc suite. why does that problem happen?
