Yeah, this is the best thing to put all midi files in ringtone folder from getting detected by media player. Apart from this, you can also change the properties like album name, artist name etc, to manage your mp3 files better. This will help you to access your favourite track in media player very easily.

Yeah, download a free version of winamp and use it's auto tag option to get the right artist name, album, song name, genre and etc... for all of your songs.
The phone will sort them separately and correctly then.
