You can change the IME on nokia phones with the right software and a data cable. So there must be a way to change the IME on the T68.....
just gunna be harder to find!

you can change the IMEI of ANY mobile phone - as long as you have the sw and data cable
the only restriction is that you cant have 2 IMEI's the same on the same network, or in the UK's case....2 same IMEI's on any network
ive had experience in changing t28,t39 IMEI's but have never tried T68i
ill ask around though if it is possible for the model

It's always possible, but I'm not sure if anyone has figured out how to do it on t68. In new models it's not so easy like connecting the phone to PC and running software. Sometimes you must solder out one chip, reprogramm it (change IMEI and checksum) and solder it back. Not very easy, but possible.

When you find someone who will change IMEI for you and very probably he also knows how to unlock it.

You have to believe the one who is doing it. In most cases it can be fixed. So choose someone who is not doing it for the 1st time and he knows what can happen and how he can fix it. Probably it will be also more expensive. I don't know how about changing IMEIs, but unlocking is LEGAL in Slovakia (and many countries). Some lawyers think that locking phones by operator may be illegal :-)

in uk its illegal to own the sw for changing imei's
if police find ya pc full of imei changing sw then u go to jail even if u can prove u aint used it
if u use it same thing jail but longer
though this is uk and by jail we mean £50 fine and a 'dont do it again' from the judge
its not illegal to unlock a phone though or to have the sw to do so
the catch is though for market shops etc is if ya unlocking sw also can change imei's which means illegal sw but not bein used in illegal operation...doh...still worthy of arrest
wooha wooha
