MSN Messenger and Hotmail can be accessed from any phone that supports SMS (at least here in Australia). Once registered with their site, you get a number you can SMS commands to such as 'CL' to get your current online contacts, or 'IA' to get your inbox messages.

wap is privitive yet but sms?Get real...i'd rather go to a netcafe and use a pc for 15 mins rather than sms ...neah, if hotmail and masn work on wap fine,otherwise it doesn't worth it.

I agree with u on sms. Its too limited and slow to chat. And u have to pay per msg. Wap is good, esp. Yahoo mobile. And theres a fixed price for gprs here. So, much cheaper :-)

I am real and I am being realistic. I didn't say the SMS method was efficient or easy to use, but it's great if you need to check for an important email while on the run.
