I just hope, really sincerely, that this EU thing will live up to its hype. Although to be honest there's not that much hype over it right now.

Just one more thing. The first EU device is not W995, is Idou. EU means

and cybershot together and W995 is just a

phone.
EU press release:
"Sony Ericsson is unveiling the W995 Walkman phone at Mobile World Congress offering the most complete communication entertainment package to date. The launch of this phone exemplifies the excellence that Sony Ericsson has achieved in both the music and imaging categories and enables the evolution into Entertainment Unlimited. The company is also showing a mobile phone under the concept name Idou* giving a glimpse of one of a number of projects that will be launched this year under the umbrella of Entertainment Unlimited."
Hm.. on second thought maybe they just meant that it's a step towards the new EU devices, the W995 not being one itself.

I donīt think Idou is an Xperia device. The design is much too different, it runs symbian and has a focus on camera the X1 didnīt have. It looks much more like a P device to me but since the P line died it probably wonīt be named Pxxx. I think itīs kinda of mistery for

themselves right now to name Idou or place it properly in the portfolio. Thatīs why we are still calling it Idou.

set itself out to make ītheī all in one phone and now doesnīt now where to put it. Maybe Idou will be a īseparateī device with an unique name and pricing for the mobile enthusiasts, who knows.
How can you say the design "is much to different" there is only one phone to base that on, personally i believe it must be part of the Xperia line because it is all part of the "experience" and when the x1 was announced they said windows mobile wont be the only platform used, unless its part of the new "bravia" series that is yet to be released?
