I now managed to get it to work. It was a problem with the wap gateway of my operator. If I instead use Ericssons wap gateway, it works:
IP: 193.95.167.178
Username:
Password:

And then I use the GPRS Internet data account from my operator - and now Christersson XHTML and home.no/t68 works like a charm...

Hello to all.

I'm having problems watching xhtml pages, like Esato's xHTML forums.
I have read that problem is because of my operator's wap gateway (vodafone) and I'm triying to setup another data account so I can
view thath xHTML pages, but I can't make those free gateways to work.

Can someone post the complete data account and wap profile so I can
make those gateways to work?

Thanks in advance.

@Akula: Just to clarify what I wrote earlier:
I didn't actually create a new data account. I already had the "GPRS Internet" data account set up with my operator. This is the data account used for example for downloading you emails, or different synching. The free WAP-gateways did not work with the data accounts that my operator calls "xxx WAP" or "xxx WAP GPRS". The APN of the data account is something like "internet", and not "wap". Anyway, then I just add a WAP Profile, call it something like Ericsson, and under "connect using" I put this "GPRS Internet" account that I have from the operator. For IP, I put 192.36.140.80. All other settings I leave untouched. I then choose this profile, and now I can view xhtml-pages correctly.

I hope you get it to work!

wow... It works, it works!!!!!

Thanks knallpulver!

Finally I can surf into xHTML WAP sites!!!!! It was as you said!!!

May I use this data account and wap profile as a default ones? Could I surf into any wap site using this gateway without limitation?

Whay have you done about that?

Thanks a lot!

@Akula: Yeah, I was also happy to get it to work! I will use this data account and wap profile as my default one until my operator sets up his WAP-gateway to work with xhtml. As far as I understand, there is no limitation of the wap gateway at 192.36.140.80, it is a public one provided by Ericsson that can be used by anyone, and it has been up since March 2000. So you should just keep on using it as long as it works, and if it stops working, you'd just have to find another one to use together with your data account.

Cheers,

Tomas
