I think you should backup the following folder: TPA\\SYSTEM\\messaging\\

SMS messages on the K800 are stored in three files and are in either...

system/messaging/sms/db/sim (sim card)
or..
system/messaging/sms/db/me (Memory card)

The three files to backup are...

messages.bin
tpdus.bin
address.bin

...Don't know if the path structure is the same on A2, but backing up these three files has worked for me.

BTW Email and MMS are stored in tpa/system/messaging

Im only doing it with MPE right now.

You need to backup only 1 file named "msg_int.dbf" located at the path tpa\\system\\messaging\\db. It contains all messages (inbox, drafts & sent items)
That is the best method coz it takes a few seconds only to restore thousand of messages by putting 1 file back to the phone

Thanks a lot buntoo!

Edit; Oops, how do you download the msg_int.dbf file from A2uploader to your PC? Im using thelatest version and I dont see any copy-button.
