> C902 pics and Nokia N79 pics compared
Bookmark topic
Was in a Secret Recipe today and grabbed the N79 phone. The attached is a definite crop/resize. Want orig?
What am I doing wrong here? I expected to be able to do full "auto" and get a better pic? I think the N79 isnt so much a better camera but its auto detection seems better and I dont think the owner knows or cares to have made any special adjustments. Notice the "high" gain? That isnt there for all pics.
I have for sure taken some better pics than this but the consistency isnt there. I am not able to tell what settings to use as the preview seems ok but obviously full auto isnt the one. Well anyway, pic attached.

The C902 pic has motion blur you must of moved when you took the pic.

The C905 is not in focus at all, it couldn't focus on such a close target? Or did you shake too much?

Well it beeped and turned green...

Some movement "maybe" but I didnt perceive any more than when I took the other pic.
This is a crop though... I was not all that close. I think the key here is the lighting and where the camera reads light from. The N79 seems to use a larger sampling area, or that is the impression I get from the viewfinder.
What I didnt do was try altering settings. But its not THAT dark I thought and would prefer the point-shoot method and if I had there wouldnt be any point to a comparison. I read several say not to bother with the image stabilization but I wonder if that would have helped here.
I didnt like the N79 menu though. Prefer Samsung I used to have or obviously the C902

Don't bother with digtal image stabilization , only optical is good, C902 uses digital, the C902's pic is just blurred from handshake in that shot the C902 was slightly more sensitive to handshake than the n79, look at the exposure times.

The Nokia image is 300dpi and the SE 72dpi?

That value only comes into play for printing... and even then not so much.
"Exposure Compensation" Does not seem to effect ISO speed or Exp time. I just took two test pics (but flash fired) using the farthest adj to each end of the range. Am I looking at the wrong thing? Setting flash to off or disabled changes ISO speed

its kind of weird, c902 handle night quality iso.500 great.... but indoor iso.100-200 its a bit harder. (its low noise in my night pics, but a bit more indoor in poor light....he he)

and like i said, go out and shot some macro or landscape with both phones and you will see c902 strong side.
i doubt N79 is even close this sharpness and colours
