you can send flash sms on UIQ3 phones using the software called MCleaner

I have found out the code for sending on 02 is *go, but a pal on o2 got it as a flash message, but it still said my name on the message?

Anyone shed any light on this.

Hmm, just tried that and It does indeed recieve as a flash message, but like you say, sender info is still visible

Could the OP have been bluejacked? Was your Bluetooth on at the time?

btw Bluejacking is sending harmless messages to other Bluetooth enabled phones if you're wondering - though there's less of it around now as with older phones you could send a message and it would just appear on the screen, whilst newer ones ask you if you want to connect to the other device.

Does the K700i have to accept manually an incoming message or does it just display it, like the T610 and Nokia 6310 used to?
