don't worry about text tax. The budget is the one you should worry about. Recoverin the billions given away by the government is gonna hit us via tax hikes soon enough.

the government wants to tax texting because demand for it is inleastic (demand doesnt change with price) these are the best areas to tax because you can charge what ever tax you want.
a good example of this would be Fuel, people will buy petrol etc at what ever price its at (inelastic) so the goverment has like 80% tax on it.
Another example why the government are cons is because they tax addictive products. e.g. Cigerettes they can charge large amounts on it because once people started they find it hard to stop at any price.
They will pretend they care about you but they're just filling their own pockets!
