If i had any problems with my phone being repaired like you lot have had in then i would threaten to sue them, they would soon sort the problem out then.

I've heard it's quite a habit of theirs this shoddy level of repair service and charging of Out Of Warranty repairs when the handset is within a warranty repair/replacement.

I don't understand why customers should even need to be inconvenienced like this.

yes that doesnt make sense they have on the phone when it was produced so surely they can pull out a calculator and work out how old it is (yes that might need it, they've shown high levels of incompatence up to now)

There needs to be a way round the proof of purchase to show you haven't stolen it... maybe a document that comes and stays with the phone or something

I gave them copies of the receipts with this, they are obviously trying to say the faults wrong with it aren't covered under warranty.... The phones silver paint on the directional pad started coming off 2 days after purchase, that just got worst as when paint starts chipping it just carrys on, common sense really but according to them that's not covered under warranty.

But now of coarse it's been damaged by the repair center and they are further causing me aggravation and inconvenience. Absolutely f****** useless.

My company uses K+N in a different field and I can tell you these contractors are useless w****** as well forever getting chased up by my company. This all wasn't surprising when I showed a few colleagues how K+N's "technology side" has dealt with such a simple task of repairing a flipping phone.

This is shocking from SE, if you ever have a problem you should go to Carphone warehouse one of their express repair centres, chances are you could be under warranty and have the phone repair for free

My screen(C905) was cutting out due to the flex cable, 2 days it took to repair, they replaced the flex cable and put on a shiny new screen which is definetly better than the old one that was on it, all for free

Yep it's not what you expect as a customer especially from Sony Ericsson. I have sent the handset back to them today with a letter outlining that it's just been sent back to me damaged and why is this? and that I have sent Sony Ericsson photos etc etc so lets see how long this is going to take now. Everything is included in what I sent them also receipts, previous invoice copies, everything and the damaged handset.

I simpley shouldn't of been charged for the initial repair and to be sent back the handset damaged is just taking the complete piss.

Sony Ericsson know full well if your reading this what I think about how they have dealt with this also when I have contacted them, complete arse holes that provided work experience calibre customer service on dealing with this issue.

About the Carphone Warehouse, I have also had good experiences with Carphone Warehouse, you always do I find with them. If I took it to them within the first 2 weeks of noticing that chipping on the directional pad they no doubt would of replaced the handset and just sent the faulty handset back to Sony Ericsson just like they did with a faulty Sony Ericsson C905 I had, it was in the first batch of C905's to the Carphone Warehouse where the C905's had faulty microphones (you couldn't hear the other person when you answered the call). Carphone Warehouse gladly replaced that handset with a new one.

Sony Ericssons way of dealing with this though is to inconvenience me, charge me for a "Out of Warranty" repair and then send the handset back to me damaged as pictured above.

We have informed the Technical Department of your response and they will contact you within 3 working days.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The TD has been ignoring my case for almost 2 months now, ever since I requested they properly read my questions and not assume some settings is wrong when I clearly told them on several occasions the settings are just fine. Surely they won't respond within 3 working days, I doubt they respond at all.

SE support (or the lack of it) is now officially utter shite.

Well I eventually got the handset back, after being abroad and on my return nothing had been sent so I had to further chase K+N up about it and wait further until it eventually got back to me.

It's still not right.....

I would seriously say to everybody do not send your handset to the K+N service center in Banbury.

After speaking to the Carphone Warehouse they said best to let us repair it and Sony Ericsson can pick up the bill as what was wrong with my handset IS covered under warranty so Sony Ericsson were wrong.

Also I just would like to make a point that the Sony Ericsson employees who dealt with this are complete idiots.

Sony Ericsson will be picking up the bill in future with manufacturing faults not customers!
