Im using windows xp with servicepack 3 and widcomm software and bluetooth device purchased china made and is working perfectly with other phones.
I have noname china made bluetooth device also... And you know, widcomm is not 100% compatible with XP SP3... In fact, it works properly only with XP SP1 and earlier OS's version.
Perhaps, try using BlueSoleil. That pack of drivers are also signed by microsoft and won't make any single problem with your bluetooth adapter. At least I have tested them and they seem to work great on XP SP2, Vista and WIndows 7 for using Bluetooth PAN.

How to check that Com port? "briscoe76" said that he also faced the same problem with bluetooth dongle.his advice is bluetooth chip of k800i does not supports data from all bluetooth dongle's,so he confirmed me that i have to replace dongle.

Hi,
The K800i/K790 is a "block" (or "candy bar") style phone that weighs 115 grams, with its buttons operated by the thumb. It has the "dual-front" design common to most Sony Ericsson mobile phones since the Sony Ericsson K700, with the back of the mobile phone designed like a digital camera and intended to be held sideways to take photographs. The central joystick button is used for selecting options and navigating menus, with the "C" button as an undo or delete key, and the arrow-labelled button as a "back button"

Hi,
The Sony Ericsson K800i is the successor to CNET.com.au's Editors' Choice Award-winning K750i from last year. The K750i changed the landscape of mobile phones in Australia by integrating a 2-megapixel camera with an attractive form factor and easy-to-use interface. Now Sony Ericsson has done it again by boosting the K800i's camera resolution to 3.2-megapixels, adding 3G connectivity, stereo Bluetooth and a bundle of attractive features such as photo blogging, RSS news and a better Web browser.
