Bearing in mind that the vast majority of them are bourgeoisie dinosaurs who don't really understand what email and the world wide web is, I have to disagree. Sure, they need a mobile phone for their work. But unless Apple have released an app which helps you differentiate between your arse and your elbow, I don't see how an iphone could be considered essential for a MP to do his/her job.

Besides, they've managed perfectly alright without smartphones in the past.
