the k850 has only 3g but k850i has 3.5g. You can verify from gsmarena.com.

K850i has 2G, 2.5G plus BOTH 3G and 3.5G, the K850c just has 2G AND 2.5G.
Anyway,my mates N82 displays 3.5G when there's HSDPA and his on the same network.

if you have HSDPA network then its better, else 3G is sufficient enough for mobile broadband. but if you have WiMax then you dont need both...
