how come my K810i is using an Sony KNC camera hardware??

it's ok, KNC can be name of some part but do not refers to the whole camera module. every part have own name, like IMX018 for sensor, however everything (sensor, AF lens, DSP) is called MCB881

in fact there's nothing what can explain name KNC. KNC is printed on camera module (optical part) but inside driver is MCB881. in K750/W800 KNC was on camera module and in driver but, again, try to find anything about KNC. when you get bored try this: MCB770...

now I know what name should I use - MCB, not KNC. second tricky thing is W700 with Samsung camera onboard described as KNC 201 37 - how to explain?

My K810 uses an KNC 20125 i pictured it to know what camera it uses. I believe for what i see and it engraved to the camera hardware that simple.
