I set up my Ntlworld email account on my phone.
I can receive emails but cant send them through this account.
Do i have to set up a t-zone account to be able to send mail through their server?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

NTL and a lot of other providers will only let you sned mail if you are logged in to them from THEIR connection...so at home you connect through NTL....so it recognises this and lets you send mails...as soon as it sees you are logging in from a remote location, not using an NTL connection you can not send mail.....other wise everyone could send mail for free from whichever server they chose.
need anything else just shout

Try
www.myrealbox.com
Settings are
connection type: imap
recieveing: imap.myrealbox.com
sending: smtp.myrealbox.com
you can set it up to retreive your home mail and then you get check it through their connection with your phone. It allows you to send and recieve. It will forward and retrieve other accounts also.
It works alot better than hotpop.com
Good luck

hey anuj, if you haven't sorted this yet, here is the setup for t-mobile's email service, i'm using t-mobile gprs on my t300 and this is really good! after trying boltblue - wouldn't connect, hotpop - 24 hour delay! and others, grrrr...
protocol: pop3
inc. server: pop3.t-email.co.uk
incoming port: 110
mailbox: (username)
password: (password)
outgoing server: pop3.t-email.co.uk
outgoing port: 25
e-mail address: (username)@t-email.co.uk
anyone can use this service i think, just register at
www.t-email.co.uk, it's not linked to your mobile account!
