it seems to me that from a very good past (t-29, t-39, t-28, SH-888) we have seen ericsson grow.....consistently producing amazing phones......the pinnacle being the sony ericsson P800 and aslo the T-68i....but looking at the phones now....im a little afraid SE are losing it a touch. For example, the t-68 was affordable, packed with all you need, with no real useless crap....
I'll be interested in seeing what happens........i hope they keep producing the blinding quality of kit we are used to...otherwise we may as well end up with: "sony ericsson nokia" or "SEN"

3. only a few software improvements dont mean new fone!!!

1. The recently-release S55 also only has 256 colors. That, and the T310 is a budget-phone, so less features are to be expected.
2. Well, they did mention a gold and also a blue housing; that might look REALLY nice
3. As compared to how Nokia does it, with 1 change and a different casing?
Let's see if the T310 has faster txting.

dont compare SE with siemens. the s55 is the first color fone of siemens. the leading companies such as nokia, samsung and even motorola are past 256 colors. So should SE. No way i pay 200 $ for a fone with same features of t300. At least they should have ncreased the memory, put up to 4096 colors, and even decreased the size for the price. I mean look at the nokia 3510i, has 4096 and even java, for about 200$

The T310 we seen last time was the orange colour with orange brand from FCC, just wondering why don't they increase the colour to 4096 and there's room for bigger screen as well.......

i think this will be the new low end phone line. i don't think the price will be 190€ but more like 150€
totally bad design, o yea the upcomming T610 ist the same as T608 but for europe. lets hope the T69 and P200 are much better.

i just don't understand why they would make this phone. it looks okay, but not significantly better than the t300 (if at all) and the t300 is still a "new" phone. worse still, it doesn't add any new features at all.
if SE want a budget colour phone, why not stick with the t300? they've made it now, why waste money developing a new one that offers nothing new? they're already behind the competition as far as "fashion" features go, which is all the t300- and now t310- had going for them in the first place.
if they're determined to replace the t300 already, they should have improved on it- better screen, more memory for games, etc. instead, they've just put the same phone in a new case (that isn't necessarily better). why??
i'll say this much- the team that put the original t68 hardware together have really earnt their paycheck (considering this is just another variation on the same old kit).

Actually Nokia doesn't have 8-bit color screens in any of their phones, so they past that totally.
