It's mid-August and we are at the tail end of the summer movie season, which has pretty much been dominated by Hasbro toy adaptations, remakes, and sequels, which led to a pretty stale summer when it came to original ideas. Fortunately, "District 9" is a total change of pace from the rest of the summer blockbusters. It's one of those rare exceptions that takes a smart well-written script and combines it with fantastic performances and mind-blowing special effects to bring that movie to a level that "Transformers" cannot reach

Me dad went to see this film today he said he does not know what all the fuss is about. He thought it was nothing special or amazing. Me dad is quite fussy when it comes to films but he said he thought it was boring.

...well in that case, i think your dad is going to be very despondent when he watches G.I Joe.
